What should I wear while exercising?
This is a commonly asked question by new exercisers, so we thought we'd help you out with a few fitness attire suggestions:

A good, supportive pair of sneakers is most important. A good, all around shoe is a cross-trainer. Some excellent brands include Nike, Adidas, Reebok, Avia, etc. Usually a good shoe will last 6 to 12 months, then it's time for a new pair.

Refrain from wearing heavy sweat suits or cover-ups that trap heat in. Layer clothing if it is necessary to shed clothes as your body temperature increases.

Suggestions for women:

  • t-shirt or tank top with shorts
  • t-shirt with tights
  • leotard and tights
  • jog bra and athletic shorts

Suggestions for men:

  • t-shirt with comfortable shorts
  • 3/4 high white socks

Cyclin' class suggestions:

  • Padded bike shorts & bike shoes
